Raheem Hawkins-Boseman, 23, of Silver Spring, was taken into custody on Nov. 21 at an apartment on Kings Meadow Circle in Leland after deputies from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant following a tip from the FBI regarding his location.

BCSO’s Vice and Narcotics Unit and SWAT team apprehended Hawkins-Boseman without incident, according to the sheriff's office.

He was wanted for the March 17 murder of Jessica Somerville, 27, of Suitland, who was fatally shot in a parking lot on the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said Hawkins-Boseman was captured on surveillance footage inside a fast food restaurant minutes before the shooting.

His apprehension comes a day after the department issued a new call for Hawkins-Boseman's arrest.

Somerville was found suffering from a gunshot wound around 2:15 a.m. on the morning of her shooting. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

Hawkins-Boseman is currently being held on a detainer at the Brunswick County Detention Center while awaiting extradition to Maryland, where he will face murder and other charges.
